Café UNIKA is owned by sisters Nathalie, Mathilde, and Cille Fjord, who have dreamed of opening their own café since childhood. This dream became a reality in April 2019, when they opened Café UNIKA at Albanigade 17 in Odense, after returning from travels to places like London, Mexico, and Australia. Their experiences around the world, where they lived in cities such as Mexico City and London, inspired them to create the café’s unique atmosphere.
The menu includes classic brunch and lunch dishes, but it’s the Instagram-friendly avocado toast and latte art that have truly put Café UNIKA on the culinary map in Odense. The café’s decor features woven furniture from the popular Tine K Home brand, and all food is served on unique plates and cups sourced from various thrift stores – a fitting inspiration for the café’s name, UNIKA.
