CLAY Keramikmuseum Danmark, previously known as Danmarks Keramikmuseum Grimmerhus, is a unique museum dedicated to ceramic art, crafts, and design. The museum houses one of Europe’s most impressive collections of ceramics. In 2010, it received an extraordinary collection of approximately 55,000 ceramic works, including porcelain, stoneware, and faience, from the Royal Porcelain Factory, Bing & Grøndahl, and Aluminia. Of these, around 1,000 pieces are on display. What makes the collection remarkable is that it has never before been presented to the public and offers a unique insight into more than 235 years of ceramic design history produced by three of Denmark’s most prestigious ceramic manufacturers.
