Børsen (Copenhagen Stock Exchange), one of Copenhagen's oldest buildings, was constructed by Christian IV to boost the city's trade. Back then, Børsen housed stalls with merchandise unloaded from ships in the canal. The building features unique architectural characteristics such as curved gables and sandstone-framed windows, as well as the famous dragon spire with four intertwined dragon tails topped with three crowns. These crowns symbolized the united kingdoms of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Today, Børsen is owned by the Danish Chamber of Commerce and is used for conferences, parties, seminars, and other events.
