Folkehuset Absalon opened in August 2015 in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, and has since become a place where locals and visitors can meet and form new social connections. Absalon is a community centre focused on fellowship and togetherness, offering activities like communal dining every day of the week. The house believes that the social bonds we create are what give life value, and its goal is to provide a space for just that.

There’s always something happening at Absalon – they host around 60 events each week. From activities like croquis, bingo, and table tennis to music, film, yoga, ceramics, chess, and dance. There are also flea markets, lectures, and parties, with opportunities spanning from the creative to the social.
