Christiansborg Palace has stood in its current incarnation since 1928, but kings and queens have ruled from this site for 800 years. Today, HM The Queen hosts official events such as gala dinners and public audiences at the palace.
When The Queen is not using the palace, it is possible to visit five different areas: The Royal Reception Rooms with the Great Hall and the Queen’s Tapestries, The Royal Stables, The Royal Kitchen, the ruins beneath Christiansborg, and Christiansborg Palace Chapel.
You can explore the palace on your own, join a guided tour, or participate in special events.
