Where Mølleparken is located today, there used to be a mill first mentioned in 1286 as a water mill. In 1903, the milling business was shut down, and the land was sold to Aarhus Municipality. Consequently, the public gained access to the large mill yard in 1916. Today, Mølleparken is utilized during Aarhus Festuge as one of the many concert venues in the city's spaces.
