Pat a deer and get close to the beautiful fallow deer and stags, which roam freely between the trees and hills as you walk through the park. If you're lucky, you might get close enough to scratch them behind the ear. In the past, visitors could feed the animals, but they thrive best on the food provided by the park. Please follow the park's guidelines regarding feeding and interacting with the animals.
You can also spot wild boars in the park, which are kept in their own enclosure. From a safe distance, you can observe their daily activities.
Marselisborg Deer Park is located in Thorskoven, part of the Marselisborg Forests, which offer plenty of space for play and scenic walks. There are many picnic tables and benches where you can enjoy your packed lunch, so don’t forget to bring some food!
The park is open from sunrise to sunset but closes to the public from mid-September to December due to the animals' mating season.
